Frequently Asked Questions

Is this hearing aid Bluetooth compatible?
Xceed is Made for iPhone, which means it can connect directly with iPhones to stream music, phone calls, and more. If you don't have an iPhone, you can still get Bluetooth functionality via the ConnectClip accessory.
Does this hearing aid allow for hands-free phone calls?
Only via the ConnectClip accessory. You'll hear the caller's voice streamed through your hearing aids, but in order for them to hear you, you'd have to either hold the phone to your mouth, or if you want hands-free calling, clip the ConnectClip to your shirt and talk into that. The ConnectClip has a microphone on it that will pick up your voice for the caller, allowing you to keep the phone in your pocket/purse, etc.
Can this hearing aid be paired directly to my Bluetooth TV?
No. To stream audio from the TV you'll need the TV Adapter 3.0
Are the batteries hard to change?
No. Most people can change these batteries just fine. However, if you're concerned about difficulty changing batteries, talk to your hearing provider to see if the Xceed UP 675 will work for you. That battery is the largest size you can get and will be the easiest of all sizes to change.
How long do the batteries last?
Depending on a number of factors, both Xceed models (size 13 battery and size 675 battery), should last about 4 days.
How will I know when it's time to change the battery?
A few hours before the battery dies, you'll hear three steady beeps. This will usually happen a few times. Then, right before the battery dies, you'll hear four descending tones.
How can I control this hearing aid, and which settings can I control?
You can control the volume and program of this hearing aid using the onboard rockerswitch, Remote Control 3.0, or the app. If you use the app, you can also control background noise reduction and tinnitus relief sounds.
How do I turn this hearing aid on and off?
To turn the hearing aid on, simply close the battery door. Opening the battery door will turn the hearing aid off.
