Signia Active Mini IX

Signia Active Mini IX is the world's smallest ready-to-wear in-the-ear hearing aid with Bluetooth connectivity. Launched in May 2026, it brings the full Signia Integrated Xperience (IX) platform, including RealTime Conversation Enhancement and two microphones, into a discreet, earbud-style design. Because it is instant-fit, there are no ear impressions or custom molds and no waiting for a custom shell to be made.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does "ready-to-wear" mean?
Active Mini IX fits your ear with soft silicone sleeves instead of a custom-made shell, so no ear impression or scan is needed. It is still a prescription hearing aid: your hearing care professional selects, programs and fits it to your hearing test results.
Who is Active Mini IX a good fit for?
Signia designed it for people with mild-to-moderate hearing loss who want a small, discreet in-ear hearing aid, including first-time wearers and people who don't want a behind-the-ear style. Because it is instant-fit, it is not suited to more severe hearing loss. A free consultation will tell you whether it fits your hearing.
Is this hearing aid Bluetooth compatible?
Yes. Active Mini IX streams calls, music and media directly from compatible iPhones and Android phones (Made for iPhone, ASHA and Bluetooth LE Audio). Hands-free calling works with iPhones and with Android phones that support LE Audio. It also works with Signia's TV Sound, StreamLine TV, StreamLine Mic and miniPocket accessories.
How long does the battery last?
Signia rates it for up to 21 hours on a full charge without streaming, or about 16 hours with five hours of streaming. A full charge takes about four hours, and a 30-minute quick charge gives up to about five hours of use.
How does the charger work?
Active Mini IX comes with a portable charging case that has its own battery, so you can recharge on the go. The case charges by USB-C or on a Qi wireless charging pad, and lights show the charging status of each hearing aid.
Is it water resistant?
Yes. Active Mini IX is rated IP68, the highest dust and moisture rating for hearing aids. It should still be kept out of showers, pools and the ocean.
How do I control it?
Most adjustments are made in the Signia app, which lets you change volume and programs, steer the microphone direction, adjust sound balance and get help from Signia Assistant. A tap on the ear can answer or end compatible phone calls, and an optional miniPocket remote is available.
