Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Widex Allure different?
Widex Allure runs on the Widex W1 chip, the fastest chip Widex has made. Its goal is balance: clear speech in conversation while keeping a natural, accurate sense of the sounds around you. Speech Enhancer Pro softens unwanted noise and brings speech forward, and an Enhanced Sound Classifier adjusts the settings automatically as you move between places, including a beat detector for music.
What styles does Widex Allure come in?
Allure comes in three rechargeable styles: the RIC R D (receiver-in-canal), the BTE R D (behind-the-ear, for mild to profound hearing loss) and the ITE R D (in-the-ear, custom made for your ear). At your free consultation we help you choose the style that suits your hearing, your ears and how you live.
Is Widex Allure rechargeable, and how long does a charge last?
Yes. All three Allure styles use built-in lithium-ion batteries, so there are no disposable batteries to change. A 4-hour charge gives a full day of use, and a 30-minute quick charge gives about 4 hours. You can use the standard charger or the Charge n Clean charger, which also dries and sanitizes the hearing aids. The RIC R D also has a portable charging case.
Is Widex Allure a good choice for first-time wearers?
It can be. Allure PureSound is a program designed for new wearers and people with mild hearing loss. It uses Widex ZeroDelay technology to deliver clear, distortion-free speech that sounds natural. Our team will tell you honestly whether it is the right fit for your hearing test results.
Can I stream calls and music to Widex Allure?
Yes. Allure streams phone calls, music and podcasts straight to your hearing aids, and a dedicated streaming compressor keeps the volume steady while you listen. The ITE R D offers hands-free Bluetooth calls. For TV, the Widex TV Play 2 streams the sound directly to your hearing aids.
Is there an app for Widex Allure?
Yes. The Widex Allure app is designed to be easy to use, even if you are not comfortable with technology. You can adjust bass, midrange and treble, balance streaming against your surroundings, and use AI assistants that suggest or create sound settings for a specific situation. You can also control your hearing aids from an Apple Watch and find a misplaced hearing aid.
